      Extended Care

St. Peter School Extended Care Program exists to provide before and after school care for St. Peter School Students (Preschool-8th).  This service gives children a safe, supervised place to be when their parents work hours extend beyond the regular school day hours.  Supervised activities include indoor and outdoor play, relaxation, study time and snack.

As a reminder, it is our School's policy that all students may be dropped off on the school grounds beginning at 8:00 a.m. and must be picked up by 3:20 p.m.  Any child on school grounds before or after these times must be supervised.  For those families who are in need of supervised care outside of those hours, St. Peter School offers Extended Care for these children at a nominal fee.

Extended Care is available full-time, part-time and on an emergency basis when school is in session.  Afternoon care is available on full days of school only.  Any unsupervised children arriving at school before 8:00 a.m. or remaining past 3:20 p.m. will be automatically enrolled in the extended care program and charged accordingly.

To register for ECP, please fill out this form and return it to the school office.

Morning Session - 7:00 A.M. - 8:00 A.M.:

  • Before school care is held in the school cafeteria
  • The supervisor will accept students beginning at 7:00 a.m.  They will be dismissed at 8:00 a.m. so that they may line up with their classmates in the school parking lot.  Please note that another school employee will supervise all students after that time.
  • Any unsupervised children arriving at school before 8:00 a.m. will be automatically enrolled in the extended care program and charged accordingly.
  • Parents must sign their children in upon arrival on a daily basis.  This is to ensure that all children arrive at the care facility as intended by the parent/guardian.
  • Preschoolers must arrive before 8:00 a.m. and will be escorted to class by the supervisor at 8:20 a.m.  Please notify us of this special need upon registration prior to use.

Afternoon Session 3:00 P.M.- 5:30 P.M.:

  • After school care is held on the school playground as weather permits.  The school cafeteria will be available to do homework and for quiet play for those with no homework.
  • Any unsupervised children remaining on school property past 3:20 p.m. will automatically be enrolled in the extended care program and charged accordingly.
  • Children must sign in upon arrival on a daily basis.
  • Preschoolers, enrolled in aftercare, will be escorted to the extended care program by school staff.
  • A snack, such as white milk, cheese & crackers, fruit or cookies will be provided.
  • Children must be signed out on a daily basis, otherwise you will be charged for the whole afternoon.
  • Only parent/guardians legally responsible or adults listed on Enrollment Form may sign children out.  If someone other than parent/guardian or those listed on Enrollment Form are going to be picking up your child/ren, you will need to contact the school office or send a signed permission note from an authorized adult.  When proper permission is not received, you will be called for verification.  Identification will always be asked for from those adults who are unfamiliar to our supervisors.

Emergency Enrollment

  • When a parent usually picks up a student after school but is unavoidably detained, they may call school and ask that the child be placed in extended care for the afternoon.  Regular fees will apply.
  • Any children remaining on our school or church property after 3:20 p.m. will be signed into the extended care program and billed accordingly.  This includes the standard $10 per family annual registration fee.

Health:

  • Parent/guardian will be called to pick up ill children.
  • Medication will not be administered to any student.
  • Please notify us of any food or insect allergies, as well as, any other health conditions.  Children with special food and beverage requirements will be asked to bring their own snack to the afternoon program.

Miscellaneous:

  • Students must follow all school rules

  • Students will be going outside every day so please send appropriate outdoor clothing.
  • Students may not hang out in other areas of the school and/or church grounds in an effort to avoid participation in the extended care program.  This includes athletics, scouting, etc.
